Sunrise Series - #1

Taken Sunday, 11 January 2009, the next few images are of one of the most spectacular sunrises I've ever seen in my life. Barry and I had gone out early to get some shots of the moon as it was setting, but it was obscured by the clouds. We didn't mind at all after seeing the incredible colors that were to come.

These four images were taken withing a twenty-minute time frame; the vast change in the colors was simply glorious.

Oh my Eric...I always love your sunrises and this one is not different. Stunning!! Is this lake near where you live or did you and Barry have to travel?

@Linerberry: This is very close to where we live, just a little upstream on the river that runs along East End park that you've seen in some of my photos. It's a nice open space for sunrise photos, and just a few minutes away from the house.

@PD: Thanks, Paul! We did have a big breakfast afterward, but at a different restaurant. As usual, I ate so much I had to come home and take a nap...;)
