Pretend It's Summer...
Posted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 18 December 2008 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.
"I remember when we met, a summer storm wasn't over yet; we discovered our initials matched.
Now the radiator's cold, and you're off somewhere I don't know...
I pretend it's summer and go outside
Change the weather in my mind
Wild roses are in bloom on a shaded path with you; it's a lonely kind of thing I do
I wonder what made you decide; you took a breath and said goodbye, left me on that bench alone to cry
Now the ice has had its way, and you're off somewhere who can say...
I pretend it's summer and go outside
Change the weather in my mind
Days go by and hours pass, you and I lie on the grass; it's the only daydream I have left
Now the ice has had its way and you're off somewhere who can say;
I pick flowers in the snow all day."
Freedy Johnston - Pretend It's Summer
I've started doing some experimenting with my processing, going for a more dramatic look to some of my photos. In some, I've taken it to an extreme, others are more subtle. I processed the HDR images in Photomatix in the same manner that I always do, trying to make it look as natural as possible. All of the processing effects that you will see in the upcoming photos were done using Adobe Lightroom; it's not from pushing the HDR processor to the extreme. I'm looking forward to doing some stuff like this with single exposure macros. Hope you all like the results you'll see over the next several days!
Cheers,
E
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you all have a great day,
Eric
