Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandOk Ok blown away now Eric!! This is just incredible...I don't think I know any words to describe this beauty!!! Amazing mate:-) Glad to see Barry back on the scene:-) 15 Dec 2008 7:00am @Linerberry: Thank you so much, Caroline, you're far too kind! I'm glad Barry has finally begun posting some more photos, too. dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesho ho ho!!! what a glorious shot!!! i think you have mastered this 'water's edge' type shot -- just stunning visual compositions!!! and superb color!!! yowee!!! 15 Dec 2008 7:12am @dj.tigersprout: Thanks, Jaycee! This is actually the tamest of the photos in this series, though! @Yvonne S.: Thank you very much, Yvonne! @MOHAMMAD: Thank you, Mohammad! Roman from Thunder Bay, Canada..fantastic view, I was flipping from yesterday's to today's photo and back and you could see the color changing from deep blues to rich reds. And I have to say, very skillfull processing. cheers 15 Dec 2008 11:58am @Roman: Thank you very much, Roman! I really appreciate the compliment on my processing; I worked at developing a certain look to my photos when I first started using Lightroom, and even though it's not a big dramatic difference from other photos, I think it does have a bit of uniqueness. Now that I've got that technique down pat, I've just started doing some very different things with some of my photos! I think this new trick I've started using is pretty good, especially when I don't over-do it!
@Earnest: Thank you so much, Ernie, that really means a lot to me! Thanks for all the great support you've given me over the past year! Nomad Flavor from United StatesLove the colors and reflections on this capture. It's like a double pleasure in a way! Very good job! 15 Dec 2008 2:41pm @Nomad Flavor: Thank you very much, NF! @zahai: Thank you very much, Zahai! Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesA very well captured sunrise - well worth braving the morning chill. I love doing these shoots this time of year - the bare branches and wintry light have a magical quality ( dj tigersprout wrote about this in his blog today ) - - - Very lovely, Eric. 15 Dec 2008 9:24pm @Stephen Phillips: Thank you so much, Stephen! I love being out on these chilly mornings, but the arthritis can make it a bit difficult to manipulate the camera at times! Tony Duque from Raleigh, United StatesAnother beauty! Looks like the reds are approaching their peak, at least for those low clouds. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your series. Thanks, again, for sharing! 15 Dec 2008 9:46pm @Tony Duque: Thanks, Tony! As another sunrise fan, I know that you understand how beautiful it is to watch the colors change the mood of the scene so dramatically as the sun moves higher in the sky. It's interesting how you just don't know exactly what color a certain cloud level is going to give at a certain time. Sometimes, as I think that the vivid colors are over, I get a huge surprise, as you'll see in the last photo of the series. Scene by Sharon Photography from Kingston, Ontario, Canadastunning colours - magical 16 Dec 2008 2:04am @Scene by Sharon Photography: Thank you very much, Sharon! @PD: Thanks, PD! Sandrine from Cincinnati, United StatesLove all of these stunning shots! This one being my favorite! 17 Dec 2008 2:59am |
