Scenes From a Memory - 3

Posted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 9 September 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.

One of the very few things in this area that hasn't changed much over the years, except for expansion and a change of operation. This is that site of the original Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department when it was first started in the mid-70's. After the annexation by the City of Houston, it continued as a station run by the Houston Fire Department.

I've had the opportunity to need the services of the ambulance squad from this station twice in my life. Once after a bad car crash that crushed my lower jaw, and the second for a heart scare. Top notch emergency medical service both times.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you all have a great day,
Eric
