Earnest from Oklahoma, United States

That's a stunner, Eric... truly fantastic... (are you using an attachment or is your processing this good?)

10 Aug 2008 7:56pm

@Earnest: Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments you've given me, Earnest!

I guess it's the processing, because I don't have any attachments to go on this camera. (I have held my polarized sunglasses in front of the camera on a couple of landscape shots!) Adobe Lightroom lets me do so many things with an image. I just upgraded to ver. 2.0, and it's even better with the amount of control it gives me over different effects in different areas. I just figured out how to do a dark, moody, high contrast b&w process, a la Observing Mike. I have a new respect for that now that I know how time consuming it can be.

Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United States

This is so excellent... how did you get so close to it without it flying away? Special secret you need to reveal???

11 Aug 2008 10:58pm

@Fliss: Bribery...LOL. I guess the years of my youth spent hunting in the woods of East Texas have paid off in my twilight years. I just move as slow as possible, and sometimes I'm lucky enough to have one stay still.

Framed and Shot from Houston, United States

A very good macro - excellent colors and the background makes a perfect contrast!
We are especially impressed by the way you have captured his eyes!
