Dragonfly Macro 3Posted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 4 August 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. I don't know what this guy's deal was, but he would only fly off a short distance or come back to the same spot. These three photos were taken within about a 10 foot wide area at the side of my house. I wish I had a better depth of field to show detail on the face better, but that's the best I can do with my point and shoot... Thanks for visiting, and I hope you all have a great day, Check out the photography of a friend of mine outside of Aminus3:

Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandWow, that's a great macro, you can even see the facets on his big blue eyes! They usually come back to there branch, so just stay on your spot with your camera ready ;) 4 Aug 2008 5:05am dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Statesyikes -- so freaky but so totally cool! your dragonfly macros are just splendid Eric -- really!! 4 Aug 2008 6:14am saeed from ahwaz, IranWOW! Don'td so critical of the DOF Eric, I like your DOF, and how amazing you go this shot on a point and shoot. The DOF you have draws your eye immediately to the brilliance of his eyes and the detail in them, sometimes a little says a lot, and this packs a punch. Stunning colour... maybe he kept coming back as he considered himself a bit of a model? Maybe he could see his reflection in your lens... who knows, but lucky for you ... as this is brilliant! 4 Aug 2008 6:27am leslie from norwich, United KingdomMay be just a point & shoot, but you still have an amazing image.
