Dragonfly Macro 2

The details in the face were blown out by a hand-held light that I used to highlight the facets of the eyes.

@Nicholas: Thanks, Nicholas. There was no flash used in the shot, just a hand-held light as I mentioned in the original post. It was under a very shady spot, and I needed the extra light to get the focus and ISO correct; it just blew out the highlights on the face.

The light has blown the highlights a bit, on the other hand the detail in the eyes with the same light is incredible, awesome shot Eric.

@Observing: Yeah, that's the trouble with the Xenon light I was using that evening; it's really overpowering when I have to hold it myself, better when someone else is available to hold it.
