Great bright colours! We have to use the ferry to get to the mainland, but they look a lot more worn down then this one!

@Monique: Thanks, Monique! The ferry boats are kept well painted in white with bright colored trim, and are easy to spot going across the bay.

@~Kylie~: Thank you, Kylie. There was a lot going on at the ferry that day, too! Quite a bit of weekday traffic and many people who would simply park at one of the landings to take the ride back and forth for sightseeing.

@Observing: This ferry system crosses the mouth of Galveston Bay from Galveston Island to Port Bolivar. The ride is about 3 miles long and lasts around 20 minutes. It's provided free of charge by the Texas Department of Transportation. During peak traffic times on holidays, the wait for a ferry can be over two hours!
