Hanging Around 2

Posted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 24 June 2008 in Animal & Insect.

The same dragonfly as yesterday's photo, it hung from this small branch for several minutes, allowing me to get a few shots in focus. (it was early in the morning, light was low and very filtered through the trees, and my camera has a bit of difficulty focusing in those conditions.) I did have to use some flash on this shot, and I need to rig up some sort of diffuser on it to take the harshness out of the lighting for shots like this.

Taken at East End Park, Kingwood, TX.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you all have a great day,
Eric
