Iridescence 2Posted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 19 June 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. One of my favorite macros, this little guy is about 3/16" in length (4mm). I never noticed all of the hairs on them until I got one on my computer screen (my eyes aren't that good anymore!) There is a much better Macro coming up three weeks from today! I've always been fascinated with insects, especially after I got into photography last year. The thing that surprised me about this fly is how hairy it is; I couldn't see them until I got the image onto my screen!
