Carpenter Ant

Posted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 8 June 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

How do I know this is a Carpenter Ant? It was humming "Close to You."

Taken at East End Park, Kingwood, TX.

The series from last week has made me re-evaluate the things I want to do with my photography. The beauty of nature, especially in the small things, will continue to capture my attention. But, I think that want to do more work depicting the emotional breadth of the human experience. Yet to do that means to reconnect with my own humanity. Yesterday's image will stay with me the rest of my life.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you all have a great day,
Eric
