For LisaPosted by Eric Fry (Houston, TX, United States) on 31 May 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. A Passion Flower...Almost as beautiful as you... Taken at East End Park, Kingwood, TX. Tomorrow will begin a series of images that has changed my perspective on photography and life. I've posted a few images past this series, as I'm not sure if I will feel like checking on things around here while the series runs...You will understand why at the end of next week. But this upcoming series has made me want to do more B&W photos of people caught in moments of emotion. I'll still keep doing nature macros, as I love them dearly, but my portfolio will surely become more diverse as a result of this. E - 29 May 2008 Thanks for visiting, and I hope you all have a great day, Check out the photography of a friend of mine outside of Aminus3:

Doug from Long Beach, United StatesExcellent way to close off the macros (for now). 3 Jun 2008 4:05am @Doug: Thanks, Doug. The first photo after the Shattered Dreams series is right back to a pretty good insect macro! :) Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesNow I really love this Passionfruit flower... gorgeous photo... 3 Jun 2008 4:34am Eric Fry from Houston, TX, United StatesThis is a bloom off of a vine native to this part of Texas. There is also a dwarf variety here that makes the same bloom, but only about one inch in diameter. These are about three inches across, and produce a green, oval fruit/seedpod that bursts to spread the seeds. It's not the plant that produces Passion Fruit, but I think our local birds enjoy it anyway! Thank you all so much for the compliments! 3 Jun 2008 8:02pm @Kathryn H: Almost as beautiful as you, too, my dear! @Andres Abon: Thank you very much, Andres. I don't know if these grow wild in your part of the state, but they can be found in wooded areas here in South East Texas. dang from Atlanta, United StatesLovely shot of the "passion", and I like your comment. It strikes a good point, and something I need to do myself, especially with cold weather upon us. Thanks for the inspiration, and keep up the good work. 4 Dec 2008 1:46pm |
