Some people would think that 12 megapixels in a point-and-shoot camera is a bit of overkill. I would strongly disagree. With only the 3.5X zoom on this Nikon model, I can do an incredible amount of cropping and still have a quite usable image.

I'm looking forward to getting the new Canon 12 megapixel Rebel XSi with a 100mm macro/portrait lens...
